History
This term Year 4 are studying The Romans in our topic work.
In English we have read some Roman myths and are busy writing non-chronological Reports about The Romans.
We have also looked at a British history time-line and where the Romans fit into this.
On October 26th we have got our Roman trip to the Grosvenor museum in Chester to look forward, where we will be taking part in a variety of hands-on practical activities such as making mosaic patterns, sorting Roman artefacts, being an archaeologist and trying on the uniform of a Roman soldier. Another aspect of the day involves stepping back in time as we become members of the Roman army and are marched around the Roman sites of Chester by a ‘real’ Roman soldier.
