Morning Prayer
Dear Lord,
Please Bless our school,
as we try to
love, learn, share and respect
in the light of Jesus.
St Alban, pray for us.
Amen
In today's lesson, we will be recapping the correct punctuation and layout of speech in story writing.
There are several tasks in the powerpoint, including the writing of a conversation between 2 or 3 characters.
If you are less confident with your writing, you can do the 2 worksheets included afterwards instead.
Either do cious /tious spellings or do Mrs Hanson's y suffix work.
Before Lunch Prayer
Bless us O Lord,
and these thy gifts,
for which we are about to receive,
from thy bounty,
through Jesus Christ Our Lord,
Amen.
After Lunch Prayer
Thankyou God for the food we have eaten,
thankyou for our family and friends,
thankyou God for everything.
Amen.
Our lesson today builds on the Mass work you did on Monday as we focus upon Communion.
Receiving Communion is the most important part of the Mass for Catholics as they receive Jesus in a very special way in the form of bread and wine.
To learn more watch the BBC Teach clip which explores this subject further.
Then look at the art work which previous Year Sixes have created to show how special Holy Communion is. Obviously, bread and wine must be a focus of the design.
But can you produce a piece of art work that is even better than the examples from last year?
Your Task: Design a picture/painting or use another medium to create a picture that could be turned into a Church window design about Communion.
End Of Day Prayer
Spirit of God,
Come live in me,
Make me the person you want me to be,
humble and pure,
faithful and free,
Spirit of God come live in me.
Amen.
