Fit for A Hero
This term (Spring 2017) our topic is Fit For A Hero! and promises to be very exciting.
During this topic, we will be looking at healthy foods and nutrition and this will link to our science topic about The Body.
Furthermore, the children will be asked to complete a food diary for a week, so it would be great if you could help them fill this in and return it to school so they can work out which food values are present in their meals.
The children will be planning their own healthy pizza and indeed making it. We therefore ask if children could bring into school as soon as possible pictures of pizzas, pizza leaflets, pizza boxes etc.
The above request is to assist in one of their first tasks, which is to design a pizza inspiration board.
In addition we will be looking at how the body moves and linking this with sports people and athletes and creating lots of artwork associated with movement.
