GEOGRAPHY

At St Albans Catholic Primary school, we implement a Geography curriculum that is progressive, based on the Rising Stars scheme. Geography is taught termly, focusing on knowledge and skills stated in the National Curriculum. Whilst the Rising Stars scheme is a great basis for our geographical learning, at St Alban’s we also understand the importance of creating a bespoke and relevant curriculum. In Geography this means highlighting the appropriate local geographical links in and around Macclesfield, to make learning more exciting and pertinent for the children.
