Year 3

Class Collective Worship in Year 3

Collective Worship is the 'heartbeat' of the school and Class Collective Worship in year 3 is another time where we can come together to find a space, silence and quietness to reflect on our own spirituality and the Word of God.

Collective Worships consist of varying elements such as gathering and greeting, listening, reflecting, responding  in song, prayer and of course includes the children’s own work and ideas.

Collective Worship in Year 3 is always pupil led under teacher guidance.  Each Collective Worship is led by a team of children who will prepare our altar cloth and focal points. We gather in song and one member of the team will read a preprepared passage from the bible and another will think about a suitable response to the Word.  The team will then choose an appropriate Going Forth Mission.  The 'Going Forth Mission' enables us to continue to reflect on our CW and to spread the Good News through a variety of deeds, activities and kind words.

Please do come and see our Collective Worship Book which has a selection of the children's Collective Worships. It is a lovely record of CW and a real tribute to your children in year 3.
