Maths

Today we are continuing to measure and compare lengths. You will need a ruler or tape measure (cm), some scissors and string (wool, cotton or paper strips will also work).

Phonics

We are still looking at the 'l' sound but today we will be using the spelling 'al' to make the sound. Read and try spelling the words below and then complete the workbook page.

Geography

Our new Geography topic is 'Journeys' and is all about food and it's journey to our plates. Today we are looking different types of food. Read the PPT and then complete the accompanying sheet. Please bring with you to school tomorrow for your Geography books.

Computing

In Computing we have been looking at creating algorithms (instructions) and debugging any mistakes in our coding. We have used the website 'hour of code' and used the Minecraft game 'Voyage Aquatic'. Most children got to level 7 in class, see if you can get any further today. Remember to watch the videos as they will teach you how to make the code as short and efficient as possible. 

There are many other games on this website to help with coding but please complete this one first and always check with an adult before clicking on other options.
