Autumn Term 2019 Menu

ORDERING

We offer online main meal pre-order in our school. Orders are accessed by a touchscreen in the kitchen, giving quantities and weigh outs. Dishes are cooked to order and pupils press their name on the touchscreen, telling the cook who they are, what they ordered and identifying dishes they can’t have. When a meal is served, the cook presses a pedal which adjusts the pupils account.

BENEFITS

  • Every pupil gets what they want at the hotplate.
  • Parental involvement in meal choice.
  • Ingredients listings, recipes and nutritional analysis can be viewed.
  • No child can accidentally be served something they are allergic to.
  • Flexibility – you can order that morning or up to a term in advance.

Pre Order From Home

Orders can be placed online from home or on the move via our online app.

You can order up to 8.55am on any given day or as far in advance as whole term. Orders can be placed on a pc, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

We encourage all parents to order with their children and not for their children.

PRE-ORDER IN THE CLASSROOM

Children can order on the day in the classroom, during registration, via the touchscreen smartboard.

Note: any orders placed from home are final and cannot be changed in the classroom.

MORNINGS

  • The cook comes in early every day to do the baking for puddings
  • At 9.30am the cook will start the main meals using the quantities ordered, therefore there is minimal waste.
  • A percentage of additional meals will be added to account for spillages or pupils coming in late.

LUNCHTIMES

  • At the hotplate pupils press their name on the touchscreen, which tells the cook the child’s name, order and what they cannot eat.
  • The cook greets the child by their name, serves their meal and presses a pedal to confirm they have received their dish and to process their payment.

Dolce Catering

About Dolce

Dolce is a family business with a genuine interest in the welfare of children. Our company was born out of a desire to improve upon the offerings of the private and public sector in respect to the catering service, the cleaning provision and supervisory and caretaking duties.

Our Vision

From our strict environmental policy to our policies on processed foods, our methodology for transforming kitchens areas and work ethic is equaled by our love for what we do. The idea that sub-par food is acceptable because it is served to children is not one that we agree with.
And the pupils and teachers we serve agree. That is why we provide contact information for the head teachers of every school we are engaged with on request. We are proud of what we do and invite you to find out more.

Our Awards

We have acheived top industry awards for our catering service and hope to acheive many more. For more information please visit our awards page

Food Procurement & Standards

Quality ingredients are required to make quality meals.

Below are some of the standards that we set and meet when providing a wholesome, balanced and well procured meal for our clients:

Red Tractor

All our meat is Red Tractor assured which assures production standards on safety, hygiene, animal welfare and the environment. It also means the meat in our meals is fully traceable back to independently inspected farms in the UK.

Fair Trade

We use Fairtrade produce in our schools to ensure disadvantaged farmers and workers in developing countries get a better deal through the use of the international FAIRTRADE Mark.
