The progression framework below breaks down the evolution of learning for substantive history (knowledge) and disciplinary/procedural concepts (skills) that children do at St Albans. The children experience the development of skills and knowledge throughout lessons and staff use the progression framework to help guide assessment and to understand the expectations for each year group.
