  • School Opens to all children on 02/09/2020

    Wed 02 Sep 2020

    Dropping off and collection times.

In order to keep the year groups separate and to minimise the number of people at school gates, it has been necessary to stagger the times for dropping off and picking up. We will also be using both the main gate and the side gate for dropping off and picking up. Our main gate is situated on Keats Drive and our side gate is at the other side of the school field.

We understand that this may cause inconvenience for some families but please try and work with us for the safety of everyone. Some families may find that they need to drop off and pick up at different gates. Please try to work with us but if you are having difficulty with this, please let us know.

Please observe social distancing when you drop off and pick up your child. Please do not linger to talk to other parents as we need to keep the site as clear as possible for the safety of all.

    Travelling to and from school

We encourage you to walk or cycle, where possible. Children will be able to store their bicycle on our school site but please ensure that they have a bicycle lock. If you do need to use a car, please park well away from school. As you know, you can park at Macclesfield Leisure Centre and at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Please note that parking on the turning circle or on Keats Drive will not be permitted as the route into school needs to be kept as clear as possible.

Anyone attempting to park on Keats Drive or the turning circle will be asked to find alternative parking before their child is admitted into school. Please support us with this as this is crucial in ensuring everyone’s safety.

    What to bring into school

    Children will need

    • A water bottle
    • A healthy snack
    • Packed lunch, if needed
    • Book bag
    • Gloves/hat (weather dependent)

Please do not bring into school any other items.
(School will supply the children with their own pens, pencils and colouring pencils.)

    School dinners

School dinners will resume in September.

    Uniform

We will resume full uniform in September, including ties.

Summer or winter uniform may be worn for the first half term.

The latest guidance says that uniforms do not need to be cleaned any more often than usual, nor do they need to be cleaned using methods which are different from normal.

Children may wear trainers as they will be using the outdoor areas for a range of activities.

P.E kits should be sent into school on Mondays and taken home again on Fridays to be washed, ready for the next week.

It is very important that your child also has a raincoat and wellies in school.

Thank you for your continued support.
