Welcome Assembly!

9.10 - 9.25 - Zoom

Welcome to another week! We look forward to seeing you all on zoom this morning guiding you through the lessons of the day!

If you have time, try our Daily 10 morning starter activity, there are three levels of spice so choose your challenge!

9.30 - 10.30 -English with Oak Academy

Today you are looking at new scene from the Oliver Twist story and will be thinking about how you can use precise vocabulary to effectively describe the characters in the story.

Writing tasks

It is important that you work at a pace that suits you. Spend about 10 minutes creating sentences about Fagin, use a thesaurus (the online one is fine) to explore new and interesting synonyms (don't just stick to the same few adjectives). If it takes you 10 minutes to write two sentences then that's fine, otherwise aim to write more.

When describing the boys and the place they live spend another - 10-15 minutes of writing. Aim to create at least two really great complex sentences about the boys and another two about the house.

Challenge - Read this narrative describing Oliver’s walk to Fagin’s house. Complete the scene using sentences you have created in today’s lesson.

11.00 -12.00 - Maths *Submission

Before Lunch Prayer

Bless us O Lord,

and these thy gifts,

for which we are about to receive,

from thy bounty,

through Jesus Christ Our Lord,

Amen.

After Lunch Prayer

Thankyou God for the food we have eaten,

thankyou for our family and friends,

thankyou God for everything.

Amen.

1:30 - 2 - Topic Part 1 (Climate in the Alpine Region)

Today's topic lesson is split into two halves. In this first half, before your zoom call, you will learn about climate zones in the Alpine regions. You should try and start the second half after the zoom call but once you've completed the first worksheet and presentation.

In the second half, you will look at how some animals and plants are specifically adapted to living in the Alps.

There is an easier set of worksheets available, if you know it takes you a little longer to read and record information then choose the easier worksheet. Otherwise, download the first worksheet.

The worksheets for the first and second half can all be downloaded from here. But the presentation for the second half can be found under the next slot.

If you are unable to print, or would like a bit more of a challenge, then use the worksheets to inspire your own versions. If you do this, be sure to include all the information required from the worksheet you've downloaded.

2-2:10 - Zoom Call

Log on for this afternoons zoom call with a pen and paper ready for a little quiz all about last weeks work!

2:15 - 2:50 - Topic Part 2 (Animals and Plants)

Use this presentation to fill out the animals and plants factfile worksheets. The worksheets can be downloaded from Topic Part 1.

2:50 -3 - Head Teacher's Assembly

End Of Day Prayer

Spirit of God,

Come live in me,

Make me the person you want me to be,
